The Metronome and polar emotions
In our world of incredible uncertainty and overwhelm, you may find yourself feeling the extremes of emotion. One moment you are holding hope that everything will work out and you witness random acts of kindness or people who are making a difference. The next moment it feels like we are self-destructing and doomsday is upon us. More than anything, know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Join us as we talk about the extreme polar emotions so many of us are feeling.
Life is uncomfortable
One of the most important life lessons is recognizing that it is oftentimes uncomfortable. This is especially true when it comes to sitting with our emotions and recognizing all of the ways that we avoid discomfort (Think social media, alcohol, food, "doing" obsessed, and a bazillion other ways). Becoming aware of our discomfort and pausing long enough to recognize it is important to self-awareness and growth.
Grief in Our Life
Whether it is a small change or the loss of a loved one, our lives are impacted and we experience the process of letting go ... and it looks different for everyone.
Heavy hearts
What do you do with all of the emotion that comes when our communities experience violence or tragedy? How do you navigate the overwhelming stories of school shootings, domestic terrorism rooted in racism, or other news that invokes big emotion? Karen Iverson Riggers and I recently had a conversation about the heaviness in our hearts over the past two weeks and the reminder that none of us are alone.
